Bakuriani Forests

Surrounded by pine and spruce forests of the Lesser Caucasus, Bakuriani offers a calm and refreshing natural environment. In summer, its mild climate and clean mountain air make it particularly popular for families with children. In winter, the area becomes one of Georgia’s main skiing destinations, with snowy forests and beautiful alpine scenery.

Borjomi Forests

Borjomi is one of Georgia’s most renowned wellness destinations, famous for its mineral springs and healing mountain climate. Surrounded by the vast forests of Borjomi–Kharagauli National Park, the area offers a unique combination of fresh air, therapeutic waters, and peaceful natural landscapes, making it an ideal place for relaxation, health-focused travel, and nature exploration

Abastumani Forests

The combination of pristine forests, clean mountain climate, and tranquil landscapes makes Abastumani a unique place for relaxation and wellbeing.

Sabaduri Forest

Located just a short drive from Tbilisi, Sabaduri Forest is one of the most scenic natural areas near the capital. The forest becomes especially magical in autumn, when the trees transform into shades of gold, red, and orange. In winter, the snow-covered forest creates a quiet and fairytale-like landscape.

Altitude: approx. 1,000–1,200 m above sea level

Landscape: dense deciduous forest with oak, beech, and maple trees

Known for: spectacular autumn foliage and picturesque winter landscapes

Best time to visit: October – November for vibrant autumn colors; winter for snow-covered forest scenery

Bakhmaro Forests

Bakhmaro is one of Georgia’s most extraordinary mountain locations, where forests and alpine meadows rise above the clouds. The area is famous for its unique climate, fresh mountain air, and breathtaking views where the cloud layer often lies beneath the mountain ridges, creating a truly magical landscape.

Region: Guria

Altitude: approx. 2,000–2,100 m above sea level

Known for: the famous “sea of clouds” views where clouds float below the mountains
